Fitness Yoga
Fitness yoga promotes a healthy lifestyle pattern which
advocates health of both the mind and body. Yoga has been practiced
in locations such as India for centuries. This practice is now becoming
a large phenomenon in areas such as the United States. Classes are offered
at most gyms and are also available at personal studios that can be
located throughout a city.
Fitness yoga classes are
often times the classes that are available at most gyms. There are many
different types of classes available. While some are more focused on
more on stretching others focus primarily on breathing. Although there
are many similarities between different types, there are also significant
differences. For example; bikram yoga is performed in sauna like temperatures
with the thought that the intense heat helps to secrete more toxins
from the body, while power yoga focuses on strong poses requiring more
muscle strength.
Fitness yoga along with proper eating habits helps increase the life
expectancy of an individual. It is important to be aware of not only
the outer body, but also the inner body which is often times neglected.
Yoga focuses on both of these areas and because of that is a great investment
for the body. Although classes are offered, there are also many videos
that can be purchased so that yoga can be performed in the comfort of
the home.
